The Ulfhedinn are a spiritual people, paying respect to the spirits of their fallen brothers and sisters as well as to various spirits of nature that inhabit their lands. While some of the great clans do actively raid nearby race’s settlements, others journey from their homelands to see what mark on the world they can leave. The Ulfhedinn lean towards a more chaotic nature of the spectrum, as too many laws restrict their personal freedoms and free spirited nature. Though the race is ruled by a main hierarchy of a king and queen, each of the great clans of their own hierarchy systems with their own code of law, each having sway in the government of their clan. When a Ulfhedinn is born they go under a series of teachings until they find their place amongst the great clans. ![]() The Culture of the Ulfhedinn is a complex structure of large clans of warriors, hunters, and shamans as well as a variety of other more mundane professions. While they do tend to be wary of most races as due to the race's tendency to be mistaken for werewolves, though if one would be able to break through this initial wariness they would find the Ulfhedinn are a fiercely loyal companion to have, and if a Ulfhedinn gives their word, they will go above and beyond and even die to keep it. They enjoy strong drink and reveling in tales of their conquests and adventures. Ulfhedinn are a free spirited and proud race, enjoying the company of family as well as the freedom of adventuring out from their lands. Even more strange is that even in death the Ulfhedinn continue to walk as guardian spirits among the halls of their kingdoms seemingly bound to the land they inhabit. This has lead many to believe that the Ulfhedinn have inherited a form of eternal life through the direct descendance from their deity. The Lifespan of the Ulfhedinn is a mystery, many of the race living well past a variety of races such as elves and dwarves. Females of the race tend to be slightly shorter and more slender than the males, but no less quick or strong as their male counterparts. The Ulfhedinn are a race of bipedal wolf-men covered in thick layers of fur and towering over many races standing at an average of seven feet, while many of the race stand even taller. This leads many other races to believe that the Ulfhedinn are nothing more than another form of lycanthropy plaguing the world. The Ulfhedinn are an ancient race of wolf-like beings, hailing from the frozen reaches of the world, children of the great wolf fenrir, who created them under the light first full moon.
