Different remixes of the famous meme cat song. All you have to do is to collect the different items on the level and avoid obstacles and enemies. It’s just your job to control him if you want to jump, go left, go right, or go lower to another tile. Moreover, there are over more than a hundred of them to collect, each of which looks so unique from each other that you can’t help but to want to get all of them. Earning the various Nyan animals and skins may range from very simple to downright almost impossible to do. Perhaps the biggest reason to play this arcade game is its unlockable content. In fact, it’s almost too tough at times, especially when you can still run for more than four minutes. But on the contrary, it’s not as you keep surviving on different levels. In this game, you get to collect multiple foods and items on different floors while you dodge some obstacles and enemies along the way. The developer may not say anything about its universe other than “The universe revolves around Nyan Cat.” While there is no lore surrounding the game, it deals with some elements of create-your-own lore as you keep exploring the various levels. ![]() Now, this arcade game includes hundreds of unlockable Nyan creatures and various remixes of the original meme. In fact, it is a fully-fledged 2D side-scrolling platformer with elements of endless running and some ode from classics such as Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog.ĭid you know that the game has been out since 2011? Yes, for over a decade, this game has grown over millions of fans from around the world thanks to its constant updates and never-ending sounds of NYAN NYAN NYAN. If you’re thinking that this game is nothing more than just plain boring, then you thought wrong. Download Nyan Cat: Lost in Space game for free on PC. Nyan Cat: Lost in Space Game is the official game based on the internet’s favorite 2D sprite cat. But, did you know it has an official game? Yes, that’s right. And that’s a big part of what makes it fun, even with the minor issues.Hey, remember that cat meme from the late 2000s to the early 2010s? You know, that cat with a pop tart body that leaves a trail of rainbow as it walks in mid-air with a very catchy tune? Yes, THAT cat. It’s a completely ridiculous game and it wears its craziness right on its sleeve. It’s incredibly hard to take Nyan Cat: Lost In Space seriously, but that’s kind of the point. I have no issue with requiring 2000 coins for a costume pack, seeing as it’s a collection of several outfits, but charging the same for a level theme – especially considering that there’s only one theme to start with, which can theoretically get dull after a while – seems like a bit much. A more prominent problem is the amount of coins needed to unlock most of the walled-off content. Besides, most of the platforms are positioned juuuuuust right so it’s almost never an issue. The jumping in Nyan Cat: Lost In Space took some getting used to as the little guy jumps as though he were wearing lead shoes, but it doesn’t take too long to adjust. And then there are the un-lockables themselves: level themes, outfits (Nyan Predator? Why not?), and permanent power-up boosts that can really mix things up. ![]() The other puts players in control of Nyan Cat’s nemesis, Tac Nayn, who’s some kind of evil waffle cat. There are a great deal of unique power-ups that can change just about any situation, plenty of quirky platforms (bouncing, disappearing, etc) to keep players on their toes, and the ever-present call of the coin to unlock new stuff. To say Nyan Cat: Lost In Space is almost bursting at the seams with content is putting it mildly. Coins can also be acquired throughout each run and can then be spent on new themes, outfits, and power-up upgrades. And by “goodies” I mean donuts, cakes, space helmets, “cigarettes” that seem a bit to Rasta to be comprised of tobacco, Super Nyan Cat logos, and a whole lot more. By “bad things” I mean dogs, sticks of dynamite, and even UFOs that will abduct and shakedown Nyan Cat for his treats. The little rainbow-trailing Pop Tart feline must leap from platform to delicious platform, gathering snacks and other assorted goodies while avoiding bad things or plummeting to certain doom. Nyan Cat: Lost In Space is… well, it’s Nyan Cat. Sure the music is catchy – I vote to make the orchestral version the official theme of the Internet - and the cartoon is cute, but haven’t we taken this far enough? Apparently not as there’s still more Nyan Cat making its way into virtually every form of media these days.
